SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) is a reinforced polyester sheet material (prepreg) that is covered on both sides with a barrier film comprising unsaturated polyester resins, filling agents, additives, and fiber glass. SMC is used to manufacture products that shall have high mechanical strength and good surface quality.
